This exciting programme will provide £70,000 in total to support grass-roots initiatives. Community organisations can apply for grants between £1,000 and £7,000 to kick-start their projects in the OPDC area. This year, the programme is focussing on awarding funding to community-led projects that either support the cost of living crisis, work with young people or help to champion local diversity. First launched in January 2019, the programme has awarded grants to over 50 community projects, including dance classes, after school clubs, mentoring, community magazines, foodbanks and support for local charities. To date, it has reached over 45,000 beneficiaries across West London. To apply for this round of funding, interested applicants must be based in the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing or Hammersmith & Fulham and should be already working within the Old Oak and Park Royal area or be looking to make a difference to the local community. If you are interested and want to find out more, contact the OPDC team by email at: [email protected] or apply directly. Applications will close on 29th January 2024. Thousands of local people have already benefitted from the fantastic initiatives that have been run by the awardees of our Small Grants Programme. This next round of funding will allow OPDC to support more community organisations, working to deliver projects and initiatives for local residents – delivering real change for people across our area. David Lunts, OPDC Chief Executive OPDC’s continued support through the Small Grants Scheme has allowed us to build positive relationships with both communities and organisations by providing us with the support to pursue our mission of increasing the likelihood of young people from different community groups taking part in the arts, irrespective of their background, gender, social education, or financial circumstances.
