Volunteering and getting involved

There are lots of ways you can get involved with our work in and around your local community. We have volunteering opportunities throughout the year, whether your interests lie in cleaning and greening, public artwork or being part of our community sounding boards.

Keep an eye on website and social media channels for the latest opportunities, and you can also sign up to our Community Newsletter to get up to date information on ways to get involved.

Volunteering opportunities

Canal and towpath clean ups

Partnering with Canal and River Trust, we have launched a volunteering and biodiversity programme on the Grand Union Canal in Old Oak and Park Royal. We aim to improve the environmental conditions of the canal, and we invite the local community to be part of a legacy of volunteering. Activities involve litter picking, managing and cutting back overgrown vegetation, and planting.

Guerilla gardening

On the first Wednesday of each month, volunteers join The Republic Community Project to carry out gardening and clean ups in the local area. They also have community gardening groups which you can get involved in.
