Breadcrumb Home Inclusive growth Young people and education Young people and education Inspiring the next generation The future of Old Oak and Park Royal is full of opportunity, and we want young people to be at the heart of it. From engineering to construction and film, digital, science and entrepreneurship, we’re helping young people discover exciting careers, build new skills and connect with opportunities that shape their future. By working with schools, employers and community organisations, we’re creating pathways into the jobs of tomorrow and helping ensure local communities benefit from the area’s growth. Bringing careers to life Through our partnership with Construction Youth Trust young people across Hammersmith & Fulham, Brent and Ealing can explore careers in construction, design and engineering through: Interactive workshops. Site visits to real workplaces. Employer talks and mentoring. Work experience opportunities. Design challenges and competitions. These experiences will help build confidence, introduce new career possibilities and connect students with industry professionals. Opening doors to employment We're proud to support Street Elite, a programme delivered by The Change Foundation that helps young people who are not currently in education, employment or training take positive steps towards their future.Combining sport, mentoring and employability training, the programme helps participants build confidence, develop workplace skills and gain valuable experience. Young people also take part in work experience opportunities and deliver community sports events, developing teamwork, leadership and communication skills along the way.
