Communities

We want Old Oak and Park Royal to be a place for everyone, a place that reflects local needs and aspirations.

Our communities are a celebration of London’s diversity and are the strong foundation for a thriving and vibrant district in this part of West London.

By listening to all of our local voices, we’re striving to ensure change is delivered collaboratively – with the people and organisations that already call this place home, while also supporting future generations.

Our Community Engagement team

Our Community Engagement Team is committed to ensuring that local communities get involved in the future plans for the area.

We want to give communities increased opportunities to hear about OPDC and find out what is happening in the Old Oak and Park Royal area.

Our Community Engagement team will set up formal and informal engagement opportunities, working groups and partnerships, ensure regular and effective communications to our communities and have a presence in the local community, attending events and meetings.

We also run regular community drop-ins in the local area – keep an eye on our social media channels or sign up to our community newsletter to find out about upcoming drop-in dates.

Small Grants Scheme

Our Small Grants Scheme is an opportunity for residents, businesses and voluntary groups who are active in their communities and passionate about local causes to improve the quality of life in their neighbourhoods.

Supporting local talent

At OPDC we firmly believe that people make places. Therefore, delivering tangible long-term benefits for the communities and businesses (both existing and new) that OPDC serves will rightly be a key measure of success for our work in Old Oak and Park Royal.

Young people and education

OPDC is supporting the delivery of this programme to ensure local young people can benefit directly from the large-scale regeneration and investment taking place across Old Oak and Park Royal.
