Breadcrumb Home Planning Heritage Local Heritage Listings Local Heritage Listings OPDC’s Local Heritage Listings were adopted on 30 January 2020. They provide information for 64 non-designated heritage assets. 'Non-designated’ heritage assets Local Heritage Listings assist us in identifying ‘non-designated’ heritage assets. Unlike Statutory Listed Assets, non-designated heritage assets do not benefit from statutory protection from demolition. Due to the scale of development proposed in the OPDC area, it is likely that there will be harm to, or loss of, some of these assets. However, their designation ensures that their conservation is a material consideration in determining planning applications. It also helps OPDC to use the asset to shape the character of new development.
