Highways and active travel

We are working to improve the roads throughout the OPDC area and increase access to opportunities for active travel. Our aim is to make the roads and public realm easier to use, safer and more accessible for all.

Victoria Road and Old Oak Lane

OPDC is working with Ealing Council to deliver improvements for walking and cycling along Victoria Road and Old Oak Lane. We will be holding drop in events to share the proposed designs and are keen to hear your thoughts. Further information can be found on our consultation platform.

The Big X

The ‘Big X’ refers to the four main roads through Park Royal: Park Royal Road, Abbey Road, Coronation Road and Acton Lane. We're working with Ealing Council, Brent Council and Transport for London (TfL) to improve these key routes in Park Royal to make them safer for pedestrians and cyclists, and to introduce improvements to public spaces, through the Big X Junction and Corridor Study.

We are keen to share our initial ideas and hear your thoughts as we develop the proposals and we will be holding drop in events, so keep an eye on our social media channels for the dates of these sessions.

North Acton Gyratory

The North Acton Gyratory refers to the main roads around North Acton: Victoria Road, Horn Lane and Wales Farm Road.

OPDC, Ealing Council and TfL are in the early stages of design and testing of options, and would like to hear about your current experiences of the area to help shape the designs.

We are inviting all local community members and businesses to give your views. We are holding two drop-in events.
